” In 1966, two hiking enthusiasts founded a small mountaineering shop in the heart of San Francisco’s North Beach district. The company soon became known as The North Face – named for the north face of a mountain in the Northern Hemisphere that is generally the coldest, iciest and most formidable to climb – a retailer of high-performance climbing and backpacking equipment. In 1968, The North Face began designing and manufacturing its own brand of high-performance apparel and equipment. In the late 1980’s, The North Face became the only supplier in the United States to offer a comprehensive collection of high-performance outerwear, skiwear, sleeping bags, packs and tents.
Over the past 15 years, The North Face brand has represented a perfect union of fashion and function and has been adopted as the jacket of choice by metropolitan youth around the world. Clean design coupled with authentic performance quality has allowed The North Face product to simultaneously transcend the mountains of the Himalayas and the streets of New York.
This Spring, Supreme will release it’s version of The North Face Summit Series jacket.”
The jackets come with animal linings, a perfect match with their recent Timberland collaboration, that was released in December. Otherwise a mix of classic colors with one more flashy color in the mix.
