Israel has been producing well to wear shoes and sandals for years (my go to loafer is a corkbased Natt slipon from around ’99) and Hoki Sandals have been there for the ride. After taking a hiatus, they look to be making a return. As noted on Alter, “Hoki plastic sandals, which you may recognize as those worn by grandpas (with socks) have been resurrected … from extinction. The new modern version is created with recycled plastic and comes in a variety of fun colors.”
