Some are talking invasion when discussing the number of Swedish designers making new homes in New York City’s surrounding burroughs. It is by all accounts a very good thing for the fashion world. Scandinavia is on top at the moment with its focus on menswear and the modern movement of minimal looks with high construction values. Lars Andersson is no exception to this. He is Swedish and has resided in Brooklyn for four years where he has worked on his collection of urban knitwear with a knit staff of five. His collection for Spring/Summer 2009 is described as “at once sophisticated and rough.”
