Puma VOR Off Shore Jacket

This past October PUMA® entered what is considered the “Everest of Sailing”, Volvo Ocean Race. The VOR is a nine month round-the-world race that takes sailors from the icy conditions of the Southern Ocean to the hot tropical climates of Brazil and India. With the direct input from the PUMA Ocean Racing Team a line of saling perfromance gear was developed to stand up against the extreme condititons of the race. One of the key pieces worn by the team is the Off Shore Jacket. The key functional and safety features essential to the race also makes the jacket perfect for the urban warriors who face the elements every day.

Key features of the Off Shore Jacket include: lightweight fabrics and ergonomic shapes that ensure total freedom of movement. A 3-Layer GORE-TEX Performance Shell – The membrane is bonded to an outer material and an inner lining, this provides moisture management, breathability, thermal insulations, weather protection and makes the jacket both wind and water proof. Fully adjustable inner and outer double cuffs system, taped seams and waterproof 2-way zippers help to ensure that water won’t seep through.

With these features the jacket is the perfect urban shell that will keep you dry and warm through the worst of conditions. Even though the jacket was created for the PUMA Ocean Racing Team, you can still get one beginning on Saturday, January 24th. PUMA is releasing a limited to the selected retailers: Classic Kicks (NYC), Training Camp (NYC), UBIQ (Philly), Commonwealth (DC) and BDGA (Boston).
