For a two week stretch (well just under now) LACMA is hosting four BMW Art Cars. The autos have been painted by Robert Rauschenberg, Frank Stella, Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol. Conceived in 1975, the BMW ART CAR project has also included Alexander Calder and David Hockney. LACMA has placed the cars at the BP Grand Entrance, where they can be viewed (for free) until February 24, 2009. The cars will then move on to New York and Mexico. (Via My Modern Met).
