The Betty Freeman Collection

Legendary art collector and philanthropist Betty Freeman passed on January 4, 2009. Her collection will find it’s way to the Christie’s auction block later this spring. Included are works by Roy Lichtenstien, Andy Warhol, and neon light artist Dan Flavin. Noted as her most important piece is David Hockney’s Beverly Hills Housewife, featuring Freeman herself.
