Charles Rohlfs considered himself an American original. Working in Buffalo, NY Rohlfs created what he termed “artistic furniture.” The Artistic Furniture of Charles Rohlfs, freshly opened at the Milwaukee Art Museum, is the first exhibition to focus on Rohlfs. Over 40 objects are considered in the survey, giving new light to Rohlfs process and standing as a true innovator in American decorative arts and design.
