Close Examination: Fakes, Mistakes, Discoveries

Exhibitions like Close Examination are, in my mind, excellent ways of engaging the general public in some of the process of art history. Set to open at the National Gallery in London next June (yes, I know, advanced notice), the exhibition charts some of the museums most embarrassing moments and pieces bought in error. Should be fun for all.

The Guardian has a few of the stories lined up this week to get us excited for the show.
