Renowned knit maker John Smedley unveils their fall ’09 line ofhand-linked sweaters. And with clout in the sweater game since 1784, its clear these gents know exactly what needs to be done. The fall line shows great work and detailing with intarsia, stripes, and tipping. (For anyone like myself intarsia is when blocks of color are worked with separate balls or bobbins of yarn, producing a sweater only one layer thick) Another great aspect about John Smedley is how they wash, dye and knit the wool at their 225 year old mill in LeaMills, England.
