Charles Wilson found the inspiration for his Heron Lounge Chair while working on a commission for NSW Government House in Sydney, Australia. Taken by the Gothic Revival building, Wilson wondered how he could re-interpret the organic shape in a more contemporary form. The result – the Heron Lounge Chair. It sits on a cantilevered axis ending in a star shaped base. The form of the seat, as you might imagine, is inspired by a large bird coming to land. Designed for Woodmark. (via Daily Icon).
