Moholy-Nagy is one of the key names of the Bauhaus, having taught both in Dessau from 1923 to 1928 and founding the New Bauhaus in Chicago in 1937. In the Midwest, Moholy-Nagy was able to bring Walter Gropius’ curriculum to full development. A retrospective of his works has been on view in Frankfurt since early October. Running to February 7, 2010, at Schim Kunsthalle, the exhibition is the first mounted explicitly on Laszlo Moholy-Nagy since 1991. (via Daily Icon).
