The Dulwich Picture Gallery was England’s first public museum. Situated amidst its own lovely gardens and nearby two of South London’s nicest parks, the museum is a gem with an outstanding collection. In fact, it houses one of the most important collections of European old master paintings of the 1600s and 1700s. Aside from the core collection, the Gallery also hosts a range of rotating exhibitions tied to the core interest in drawing and painting. These range from explorations of children’s book illustration to the current Drawing Attention.
Without question one of my favorite museums. Take a virtual tour here.
