Decade in Review | Architecture

Given that 2009 is at the tail end year and decade end reviews are to be expected. Jonathan Glancey of The Guardian takes on architecture today, naming his top ten in the “decade of excess.” A good number are located in London (not surprising given the paper’s origin), including the revamped St. Pancreas Station (above) and the Millennium Dome. Of note is the nod to the Serpentine Pavilion of 2002 by Toyo Ito and Diller Scofidio’s pavilion at Switzerland’s Expo 02. Some obvious choices, given the ephemeral nature of both projects.
