Shigeichiro Takeuchi | Design

Shigeichiro Takeuchi makes good use of angles in designs for a dust bin and shoe horn. Shown above, the shoe horn stands on a hard maple base, this forms a unified sculptural element when fused with the plastic shoe horn itself. The dustbin reverses the material rolls, with maple top sliding over the cylindrical plastic bin. In both pieces, components are kept to absolute minimum (there are, in fact, no extras). The shapes and angles doing all the work. (via dezeen).
