Sex and Early American Furniture

The newest additions to artbabble.org come from Milwaukee’s Chipstone Foundation. Their first featured videos come from the “Hidden Dimensions” installation at Milwaukee Art Museum – and put American decorative arts into context of sex, power, myth, and more.

In the above video Eithan Lasser discusses sex and the tea table. The full range of videos offer fresh perspectives on decorative arts scholarship. Check the intro to the series here, or stay on to continue with a few of my favorites.

More videos from Chipstone after the jump.
