Women Artists

Forthcoming from Abbeville Press, Women Artists presents a revised edition of what essential serves as catalog to the collection the the National Museum of Women in Arts. Explicit in title, the institution is the best known museum focused on recognizing the achievements of female artists. The collection includes work by Freda Kahlo, Mary Cassatt, and Georgia O’Keeffe. Of course, lesser known artists are also presented both in museum and publication.

Found after the jump are a few examples – first work by Sue Coe (in the form of Thank You America (Anita Hill), 1991) and secondly T.B. Harlem (1940) by Alice Neel.
