Jeremy Leslie, founder of SL favourite Magculture, has a great interview up with the folks at Grafik. As you’d expect, the focus is on the blog and magazines as whole. For those that aren’t aware of Leslie, he’s a magazine designer who up until fairly recently was executive creative director at communications agency John Brown. He also wrote a book about magazine, which was also called Magculture (the blog was originally a place to add short updates to the book edition). While the whole interview is an interesting read, we were nodding like the Churchill dog at his answer about bringing back magazines.
“Are there any that you’d like to resurrect from the magazine graveyard?
None. Magazines cease publication because their time has passed. Bringing them back is a fools game. What did the rebirth of Nova do for anyone?”
