Moncler Grenoble Fall/Winter 2010 Collection Presentation

Moncler launched their new Grenoble Fall/Winter 2010 Collection during New York Fashion Week. On the edge of the Hudson River Moncler built a 4 story structure to present the new collection for both men and women. The new collection comes in black and dark grey colors and fuses high technology and tradition.

“Space-age ski-suits, and close-fitting, down-filled and quilted jackets, in techno-nylon and micro-rip stop, were set alongside ribbed sweaters, furs and long, full, treated-canvas skirts, banded at the hem in reflective nylon, which were inspired by 1950s designs from the Moncler archives.

The customary palette of metallic grey and matt black was spiced with shades of wine, chocolate and cream. Snug hoods, caps, gaiters, leggings, ski-goggles and boots, completed the effect of an army of piste and off-piste warriors.

Strict functionality was built into many of the pieces. The trousers, for example, were slim enough to be worn in an urban setting, but featured “bellows” at the bottoms of the legs, which could be opened out to accommodate ski-boots.”

All in all not only once again an impressive collection, but also an impressive presentation by the Italian brand. Check out a video of the presentation here below.
