In a detour from traditional look book styling, Stussy Deluxe partners with British, Brooklyn-based artist Mark Borthwick to create a series of photographs highlighting the new Spring 2010 collection. Stussy describes the work as “self portraiture with a quiet infusion of product, in methods true to their fine art techniques.”
“Borthwick’s often avant-garde fashion photography ruled the most prominent fashion magazines through the late ’80s and ’90s and his work is known for a crisp minimalism and sun-drenched exuberance. His other artistic endeavors include music, film-making, installation, cooking and hosting gatherings at his Boerum Hill residence. His career retrospective book called Not in Fashion was published in 2009.”
