New Architecture in Japan

New Architecture in Japan collects over 100 new projects to present a comprehensive overview of recent Japanese architecture. The buildings chosen represent large scale urban development, small scale private construction, and massive achievements in public work. The book balances photographs, conceived with a high degree of reverence for context, and pointed essays tackling discrete questions related to modern architecture in Japan.

The book was concocted by Yuki Summers and Naomi Pollock, with contribution by David Littlefield. New Architecture in Japan is published by Merrell Publishers.
