Over the course of the winter, the American University Museum at the Katzen Center has celebrated the work of local Washington, DC artist Tom Green.
Tom Green has been a legendary figure in the Washington, D.C., art world for over 40 years. His paintings, drawings, watercolors, and installations somehow manage to move freely between the formal and the accidental, the iconic and the idiosyncratic, the serious and the absurd. This exhibition samples the career of this important and influential Washington artist.
There is one week left to catch Tom Green: Accident and Intent, which closes on March 14, 2010. Three additional exhibitions – Robert Devers: Cult of the Hand, John Dreyfuss: Innovations, and Alan Faltus and Lani Irwin: Personal Interiors – are also on view until this end of this week.
The Katzen Center is located at 4400 Massachusetts Avenue, Washington, D.C., NW. More images from Tom Green after the jump.
