The Commonwealth Games are terrific because it allows British people a brief moment of sporting glory. That statement is, of course, (partially) in jest. The games, like other major sporting events, have great potential to boost the host city and draw international attention to all its offerings.
Creating a logo for the Commonwealth Games has some challenges, given there are a few required elements (horizontal bar and base graphic). For 2014, Glasgow based Marquee has handled the design.
