Tula Telfair “Landscapes in Counterpoint”

In Landscapes in Counterpoint, Tula Telfair will exhibit nine new paintings alongside a selection of nineteenth and early-twentieth century paintings personally chosen from the Florence Griswold Museum permanent collection. Amid the work of Thomas Cole and Fredric C. Church, Telfair establishes the visual foundation for her work, as well as a counterpoint to her large scale works.

Tula Telfair is Professor of Art and Interim Co-Chair of the Department of Art and Art History at Wesleyen University. Her exhibition, Landscapes in Counterpoint, runs from April 23 to June 27, 2010 at the Florence Griswold Museum.
