“A Life Slowed Down for the Observer” by Kristy Milliken

Some charming work by Melbourne-based Kristy Milliken opens at Sydney’s  National Grid Gallery this Friday, May 7, 2010. Milliken’s illustrations tackle themes of excess, greed, and ambition… especially in how they interact with everyday people. Her observations are formed via a rather strange artistic background – she spent some time as an amateur porn photographer.

The gallery has produced a brief interview with the artist. Well worth a quick read for quick background.

National Grid Gallery, 24 Chard Road, Brookvale, NSW 2100.

After the jump, a preview of Kristy Milliken’s “A Life Slowed Down For the Observer.”
