Pop-Up Public Furniture

A super idea from Dutch duo Carmela Bogman and Rogier Martens, “Pop-Up” brings furniture to the people of Utrecht – but only when they need it.

Three aluminum topped rectangular boards sit level with the pavement, that is until use is required at which time they may be raised to provide seating and table top needs. The heights are somewhat customizable, providing unique solutions for different visitors. A fun project, and one with great application. (via Frame).
