Opening tonight at Trust Gallery (249 Arch Street, Philadelphia), Made in America provides a showcase for 40 artists from the City of Brotherly Love.
Material ranges from drawings to paintings, with small scale sculptural installation as well. In some respects, the show works to capture a moment – several of the city’s most active groups and studios are involved, and the emphasis is surely on Philadelphia’s young artist.
The event is produced by McJawn and Prequency. 10% of the proceeds of sales will go to a fund established for Sabina Rose O’Donnell, whose untimely death this week has been felt by all here in Philadelphia.
The works will be up through July, 2010.
