From June 9th, Palazzo Grassi in Venice will be opening Murakami World for 3 days. Everything from the cafe, store to the museum will get a Japanese theme, explored by Takashi Murakami. Also the master artist will be giving a lecture with Nobuo Tsuji, as well as giving kids a class on how to make stuffed animals.
“One of the most significant artists present in the François Pinault collection, Takashi Murakami will be in Venice from 9 to 11 June. In occasion of his visit, Palazzo Grassi is organising “Murakami World”, three days dedicated to Japanese art.
From the bookshop to the cafeteria, from the St_art workshop activities for children to the public lecture in the L’Opera parla series, all activities and services will have a Japanese flavour. The three days will culminate on Friday 11 June with the public lecture “From Nihonga to Superflat”, presented by Takashi Murakami and Nobuo Tsuji, Japanese art historian, Rector of the Tama University in Tokyo and Director of the Miho Museum in Kyoto.”
