Combined Cycle Energy Plant in Roombeek

Let’s call this our “Hup Holland!” post.

Clad in Delft Tile, the Combined Cycle Energy Plant in Roombeek, The Netherlands, was designed by Cie with aid from artist Hugo Kaagman. The design transforms a normally anonymous utility building into a vibrant civic monument. The tiles cover historic and contemporary motif, and ultimately make for a rather unique power plant.
