Newly located at Extra Place (behind the former location of the legendary CBGB’s), The Proposition shifts years of experience in the Chelsea gallery scene to the Bowery. Their inaugural exhibition, William S. Stone The Rough Stuff, has been extended through August 8, 2010, and is indicative of the space’s interest in rough hewn sculptural works.
Stone constructed the exhibited furniture (both functional and non-functional) from Pines felled at his own country residence. The results vary, but some of the work is quite special.
