Where the runway meets the street

Following up on our video preview of the GANT Rugger for Autumn/Winter 2010, we bring some proper stills from the collection. The shots, featuring the John Thornley of US ROYALTY (and shot by Guy Aroch) has already gained some serious praise on the social channels.

Most interesting is the demanding approach that GANT is taking with the new collection. Some history: At the start of the 1950’s, GANT came into focus with retailers under their own label (the Gant family has been in the garment business since 1914). This is where many also see the rise of the American sportswear movement. The GANT brand began to push the garments of the field onto the racks of shops and by the 70’s, “Rugger by Gant”  was born with a “less academic and more approachable” take to sportswear.

Today, GANT Rugger pulls from this history to bring you the “real deal” in American sportwear. We believe they’re onto something.
