British Remains “Black Rubber Brick” Art Edition

British Remains, the rather new brand by Andrew Bunney and Daryl Saunders, is getting ready to release their first art edition – the Black Rubber Brick.

“In the Great Britain we are nested cosily amongst British bricks for a national average of 72% of our day, bricks whose very shape and dimension have come to define the character and patina of our homes, towns and cities.

The brick must conform, matching size, shape and appearance in order to create our landscape. When isolated however, the brick can turn nasty, becoming a tool for protest, insurrection or destruction. With the death of a building, when reduced to rubble at the end of its useful life, the brick takes a more poignant tone.

Black Rubber Brick is made from cast urethane-rubber, giving it a tactile quality that makes you want to consider the form and the weight. Upon handling you will find it has great heft.

Additionally, your beautiful, Black Rubber Brick comes housed in a custom made British Remains Cardboard Box.”

The Black Rubber Brick comes in an edition of 20 (with 3 artist proofs) and is priced at 250 Pounds. You can get yours by emailing them at info(at)britishremains.co.uk. Also they will be stocked at Slam Jam and Hideout.
