With Jon himself wanting to build upon his previous colab with Size from 2007, the First Round usese artwork that is looser and more chaotic, taking inspiration from the sneakers he currently owns and the “lives” they lead. His artwork explores this by capturing the feeling of a strange journey from an imagined sneaker’s eye view. The streets and city, from that low down perspective, all dizzying and disorienting, sending your senses off in a delirious spin. The custom artwork on these trainers was produced to reflect this in Jon Burgerman’s unique style.
Limited to 130 pairs of the white and just 40 of the red worldwide, the sneakers launch December 11, 2010.
