From Another Company – “Jacob Dahlstrup Jensen is a Danish illustrator. His work is predominantly inspired by the art of tattooing. One of his latest works is ‘On a Sailors Grave No Roses Grow’ were he shows the beautiful effect of the tattoo iron on paper.”
This is a delightful application of the tattoo machine, interestingly not out of keeping with Thomas Edison’s 1876 rotary pen (used for making embroidery patterns) which eventually proved the basis for the modern electric needle. Jensen’s work has a lovely Victorian feel too. His finished product comes after the jump.
