Berlin’s EVOL creates captivating hyper-realistic city scenes from hand-cut stencils and spray paint. The recipient of the 2010 ARTE award, EVOL’s focus is on remnants of post-soviet housing blocks. There is repetition, done to great effect, and a glorious sense of geometric balance. Wilde Gallery represented EVOL at the Volta Show in New York.
