Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts

Moshe Safdie’s stunning Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts has been completed in Kansas City. The facility opens officially on September 16, 2011, and houses space for everything from Broadway shows to contemporary dance. Two shell forms dominate the structure, which includes a sparkling curtain wall on the southwest facade, and each dome holds a single auditorium. Spaces are also included for public gathering, and to ensure the most glorious views possible of the Missouri city. (via DesignBoom).
