Converse ‘Jacked in Berlin’ Event Recap

This week Converse celebrated the 75th anniversary of the iconic Jack Purcell sneaker with the ‘Jacked in Berlin’ event. In true Jack Purcell spirit, the brand held a badminton tournament at a beautiful outdoor location in Berlin.

Competing at the tournament were Hanon, Lodown Magazine, Precinct 5/Patta, Sneakersnstuff, Tenue de Nimes, Wood Wood, WAD Magazine and our own Highsnobiety team. Our team was made up of Robert, our print chief and photographer, and Jens, from our print graphic design team, as well as Flo, who acted as the coach. After a tiring series of 4 matches, we had made it into the final against the good guys from Sneakersnstuff, and then unfortunately lost the game in the last seconds. Congrats to the Sneakersnstuff crew and thanks to Converse for a fun event. ‘Smile if you are a player!’ was the theme of the event and even though we got beaten in the final, we kept our smile!
