Sweden’s Grundéns have been making foulweather gear since the 20’s and these guys are pretty serious when it comes to keeping you dry. Designed for those who spend their working day at sea, their high-tech laminations and membranes are breathable and hard wearing, as they put it themselves ‘if you are standing under a fire hose hour after hour, there is still nothing better than PVC-coated fabrics for ultimate protection.’ The fact that their Nordan jacket looks pretty cool is probably lower down on their list of priorities.
