Abarth will be showcasing two new versions of the Fiat 500 at the upcoming 2011 Bologna Auto Show. The 595 Competizione and Turismo are the most exciting releases to come from the house tuner of Fiat.
“Abarth is launching the 595, a derivative of the Cinquecento, in two flavors: Turismo and Competizione.
The Abarth 595 Turismo is the milder of the two, finished in two-tone metallic Rosso Officina and Grigio Pista livery and fitted with titanium-colored 17-inch alloy wheels. The cabin comes equipped with red leather sport seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel and aluminum-colored fiberglass trim.
The Abarth 595 Competizione is finished in metallic Grigio Record, with titanium-colored 17-inch alloy wheels and yellow Brembo brake calipers. The seats are rendered in leather and Alcantara, with the 595 logo embroidered on the integrated headrest.
Both versions are powered by a specially tuned Fiat 1.4 Turbo T-Jet engine that makes 158 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque. The 595 Turismo gets an automated manual Competizione transmission with paddles on the steering wheel, while the 595 Competizione uses a standard five-speed manual gearbox. Top speed is just over 130 mph, with 0-60 acceleration in less than 7.4 seconds. Combined average fuel economy is 36 mpg.”
