The Most Anticipated Hip-Hop Albums of 2012

CraveOnline put together a comprehensive list of some of the most anticipated hip-hop albums of 2012. They definitely hit the nail on the head with most of these. Some albums on the list include the G.O.O.D. Music album, which is said to feature Pusha T, Common, John Legend, Mos Def, Mr. Hudson, Big Sean, Kid Cudi, Kanye, and others. If that’s not enough to peak interest in this release, then we don’t know what is.

Check out some more albums mentioned after the jump.

Other albums listed include:

The sequel to Kanye West and Jay-z’s Watch the Throne;

Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday, which is one of the few with a scheduled release date, that being February 14, 2012;

T.I. also got right back in the saddle after his stint in prison and hit the studio back in September, and he is slated to release the aptly titled Trouble Man album;

Rick Rozay aka Rick Ross will be dropping his fifth album with God Forgives, I Don’t;

Odd Future members Tyler, the Creator and Frank Ocean both will have solo albums dropping. We personally are very much looking forward to Ocean’s second solo effort;

One of the dopest all around collectives in some time now, Slaughterhouse, which in case you are unfamiliar, includes Royce da 5’9″, Joell Ortiz, Joe Budden, and Crooked Eye, will be dropping their second full length album – possibly in April;

Another one listed that we, too, are eagerly anticipating is Clipse’s 4th major label album. Pusha T fans will get plenty of him in 2012 with this, plus G.O.O.D. Music AND a new Re-Up Gang album – we’re not mad at that;

One of hip-hop’s best duos, Black Star, will be back. The article also states that Madlib is handling production… Now, that’s a promising development to what should already be a stellar album lyrically;

Could we be seeing a new Outkast album this year? Although mentioned, it just seems like speculation, but hopefully it will amount to something;

Big Sean is working double time with G.O.O.D. Music, while prepping for his album scheduled to drop during the summer.
