was always known for good cars – reliable, well made. When you got into the higher categories of the brand they even produced great looking cars. Their main issue was always getting a foot into the younger market. Occupied for years by the VW Golf and Audi A3, BMW managed to take some of that market share with their 1 Series, but the Mercedes-Benz A-Class was always the car of the wife of the guy that drive a bigger Mercedes-Benz. As weird as that may sound to some of you, it is a fact.
Therefore we are really glad that that is about to change radically. This week at the Geneva Motor Show, the new 2012 A-Class was unveiled and it looks just amazing. It looks sporty, agressive, modern and different from anything else in the market. We always knew that MB could design beautiful cars, but we appreciate in this case the risk that they are taking to speak to a new kind of consumer. We think this might actually work out.
