Beams and Japanese eyewear specialist Hakusan Megane worked together on this small range of eyeglasses. The brand were in fact the makers of John Lennon’s famous round frames, discovered on a trip to Japan with Yoko Ono. Established in 1883, Hakusan make all their frames by hand, predominantly in metals and have some of the nicest branding we’ve seen in a while. This collaboration with Beams includes traditional shapes with a 50s/60s feel, the ‘Hank’ and ‘Lindy’ are available in tortoiseshell, clear and black.
