The Nike Cortez sneaker is now 4 decades old and to commemorate the milestone, Nike has initiated this Art & Sole project dedicated to the shoe. The sportswear brand has worked together with graphic design studio Intercity, as well as UK artists Jiro Bevis, Matthew Nicholson, Rose Stallard and Shantell Martin, who each did a color of the shoe. They all worked on a special box set which includes the sneakers and a book with the corresponding artist’s work featured inside its pages. These special edition Nike Cortez shoes are available exclusively at the Nike ID Studio at Shoreditch’s Boxpark in the UK.
