The mastermind behind Cloak, Alexandre Plokhov‘s Spring/Summer 2012 collection offers a sharp balance of wearable standards and quirky statement pieces. Cloak has been gone for a while—to the point that when you google “cloak menswear” you get a collection of adult-sized Jedi capes—but many of the same precepts of uniformed sleekness remain visible.
What we like most is the idea of wearing the sleeveless sweatshirt with the cowl-like turtleneck under the blazer to the office. When enough co-workers have commented on the neck of the thing, hang the blazer on the back of your chair and blow minds with some bare arms. We also like the fit of and material on the Faced Trouser (looks almost like wood grain and shows a proper amount of ankle rolled up like so) as well as the long-sleeved stripe tee which reminds that the other point of balance here is between dress and casual.
Available later this week over at Blackbird.
