Arc’teryx Veilance Spring 2012 Collection

For Spring 2012, the Arc’teryx Veilance collection continues to exceed existing notions of fit, form and versatility in an urban setting. Reaffirming Veilance’s restless dedication to creating definitive apparel and outerwear that builds on learnings from Arc’teryx’s revolutionary approach to outdoor wear, but tailored for an everyday existence, key elements of previous seasons have been re-examined and refined.

This season’s pieces are reconstructed as a lightweight counterpoint to Fall’s designs, but with equal emphasis on the wearer’s relationship with the garment in terms of protection and comfort. Textiles have been strategically redeployed to ensure absolute engagement with every wear.

These new designs are comprised of components that react to human occupation, generating an interactive system. Hybrid constructions that combine natural fibres with performance-enhancing synthetics and tissue-thin technologies paired with soft and dense knits provide a sensitive and responsive feel. Contrasting textures hint at the dynamic interaction of each matched material for a focused sense of purpose.

It’s in that transitory state — containing action and movement — that adaptable performance is at its most necessary. That’s where connections are made, and in exploring spaces beyond simple notions of external and internal, Veilance unlocks the exceptional.
