This fetching labor-of-love was designed and single-copy printed by Zach Roszczewski, and boasts the very unique feature of bicycle chain links used as binding materials. Fitting, as the book is all about bikes: fixed gear bikes. While fixed-gear culture can be a bit peacock (laser blue rims, track stands, u-locks worn like jewelry), when we are riding our own fixies in and around the city, everything seems to be in perfect harmony.

Even though we will likely never get to flip though it (again, only one copy was produced) Fixie: Fixed Gear Culture looks like a book that might get to the marrow of our love/discontent—with chapter headings like “messenger,” “trend,” “rush” and “zen” suggesting that our fixations are suitably addressed.
