The ‘Margaret Howell Plus’ series sees the British label collaborate with a designer from another field to create a single shirt. Previous contributors included Kenneth Grange and Sam Hecht, better known as product and industrial designers and for her third effort she has chosen garden and landscape designer Dan Pearson.
Going with a more natural feel, they chose undyed linen from Spence Bryson in Northern Ireland and West Midlands Horn buttons, both products known for irregularities in texture. Featuring two large breast pockets, inverted back pleat, hanging tab and large cuff gussets, the shirt is designed for ease of movement and functionality – perfect for the gardener who likes to keep it stylish on the lawn.
