Designer and bespoke tailor Ozwald Boateng is not a shy guy. He was, after all, the subject of the documentary A Man’s Story—released earlier this year with the tagline “Tailor. Icon. Superstar.” Behind the bombast is, of course, a serious craftsman, and this little photo essay entitled “Ozwald Boateng Bespoke: A Journey of Self Discovery” is a quiet reminder of that.
Making clothes for the man (as opposed to making clothes for men) is an involved process of consultation, interaction, vision and skill and this peek at Boateng and his team at work is making us hungry for a suit measured to our unique crooks and stretches. If you can afford it, hop over to Saville Row and get some of this superb attention for yourself.
