Where the runway meets the street

A nice piece from La Laboureur – ‘Vêtements d’Autrefois’, a French label recreating the classic work wear of its nation. The brand might be familiar to some through its Junya Watanabe collaboration a while back. Here they take on wool rather than the famous blue cloth, the Ouessant variety of sheep found in Northwest France giving a dense, slightly coarse wool. Cleverly the jacket uses it in its virgin state; no dyes or chemicals, giving the fabric a natural feel. Shouts also for the little touches on the branded buttons and a beautifully designed label.
