French brand Carven had been chosen as the guest designer for Pitti Uomo 82 and presented their collection this week in Florence. If you have ever been to one of these presentations in the past, including designers such as Band of Outsiders, Undercover and Jil Sander, you know that they are usually a little more unique and not your typical runway show.
That was also the case with Carven. Set at a soccer stadium, Carven designer Guillaume Henry seated all his guests at elegant tables and served a 5 course meal. While eating a waiter race, a Parisian tradition, started, with waiters hectically running around with full trays, showing off their skills. While waiters were running around, first models also starting walking and riding bikes on the field, showing the new Carven Spring/Summer 2013 Men’s Collection. Finally after waiters and models had left the field, the Bersaglieri, part of the Royal Italian Army, entered the field and started playing songs. Sounds overall pretty amazing!
Enjoy the pictures of the rather unique presentation.
