Just the other day we presented the new Bape Fall/Winter 2012 Collection Lookbook, here is now the collection of the more mature URSUS Bape line. The collection continues to be heritage and military inspired, lying close to the roots of its creative director, Tet, head designer of fellow Japanese brand WTAPS. Nice denim, good shirts, flannels and jersey make up most of the collection. Select outerwear pieces and a solid line-up of accessories round up the collection, which will not turn heads, but is easy to wear and premium. It continues to be a nice contrast to the more colorful mainline.
Nevertheless we have to say that the URSUS Bape line used to be more relevant for us, especially when the mainline was more flashy and targeted at a much younger customer. Now the mainline has gotten much better gain and the new AAPE line took over the teenage target market. Let’s see how long the URSUS line will stick around.
